Either a couple or a single. Pezenas is a very walkable town but it lacks good public transportation so a car would be needed for out-of-town excursions.

Good to know

Bedroom is curtained off, vs. a door to close. There may be some noise on occasion from restaurants on the street below, but not late into the night and not in the cooler weather.

About the locale

Pezenas offers so much of what people look for in the South West of France. Milder winters, lots of sunshine, but it has a unique feel to it. It is certainly a ‘discovered’ town but (with the exception of the peak summer), it does not lose its charm. Plenty of restaurants and shops but also a sense of a friendly, residential town where people have put down roots. Two disadvantages: it is prone to the winds (Tramontine) which cool in the summer (good) but can blast in the winter. It also lacks a train station’; one really does need a car.
